 2. In 1891, L. Nance, Inventor, Received Patent for Game apparatus.

 3. In 1955,  Rosa Parks, a seamstress and activist, while already setting at the back of the bus, in the black section, was arrested after she refused to give up her seat to a white male on a Montgomery (Ala.) bus.

4 . In 1963,  Wendell Oliver Scott, a NASCAR owner and driver,  wins at Jacksonville’s Speedway Park out dueling Buck Baker, But was only recognized as the winner days later By NASCAR Officials. The movie “Grease Lightening” staring Richard Pryor was based on his story.

 5. In 1992,  Pearl Stewart became the first black woman editor of the “Oakland Tribune, which at the time had a circulation of over 100,000.
