1. Howard Drew, track and field athlete who competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics. Drew went on to become a Lawyer and later a Judge.
2. Ruth Attaway, actress, best known for her work in theater. She debuted on Broadway in 1936 and went on to work on various stages, on and off Broadway, for over 40 years. Attaway was the first director in the New York Players Guild. She also has experience working in radio and on television. When not acting, she worked for the American Red Cross and for the state of New York.
3. David (Honey Boy) Edwards, Delta blues guitarist and singer from the American South. As of December 2009, Honeyboy Edwards, at age 94, and his close friend Pinetop Perkins (age 96) are the oldest Delta blues players still touring the United States. Edwards received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award on January 31, 2010.
4. Tichina Arnold, actress and singer . She is known for her roles as Pamela James on the Fox sitcom Martin from August 1992 until May 1997, and as the matriarch Rochelle on Everybody Hates Chris from September 2005 until May 2009. She also played the recurring role of Nicole Barnes on the television series One on One. Recent Stage credit includes The Wiz Revival at the NY City Center as the part of Evillene, The Wicked Witch of the West.
