2. In 1956,  Nat (King) Cole attacked on stage of Birmingham theater by white thugs.

3. In 1967,  Harlem (NYC) voters defy Congress & re-elect Adam Clayton Powell Jr

4. In 1968,  President L. B. J Signs the Civil Rights Act.

5. In 1972,  Benjamin L. Hooks named to the FCC.
